When P.E Nation was founded in 2016, since our Day One a kinder, more sustainable approach to activewear has sat right at the centre of our core values. We set out to create premium quality performancewear, built from sustainable fabrics as much as possible. The premise of active street-wear for an urban life, lived at fast-pace, has always held - and always will - the best interests of both people and planet at heart.
We don't always call it out. But every day, our product development team seek and strive to find the world's best recycled and regenerated yarns and fabrics. We’ve sourced premium sustainable active fabrications from around the globe, with the majority of our leggings, crops, tanks and active shorts featuring up to 78% recycled polyester - repurposed from post-consumer plastic bottles - or ECONYL, a world-class regenerated nylon engineered from pre-consumer product and fishing nets. ECONYL reduces the global warming impact of nylon by up to 90% compared with nylon made from oil.
And when we set out to create our Baseline Collection, a prerequisite for the capsule was to be a planet-friendly portfolio of everyday active and leisure basics. And we've made it work. Every single active Baseline item - leggings, shorts and crop tops - all feature 70% or more recycled material, including post-consumer recycled plastic bottles, and discarded fishing nets that have been retrieved from our oceans. All reimagined into premium-quality performancewear with supreme technical qualities, dry-wicking capabilities, comfortable compression and squatproof finishes for comfort and support on the move - all built to last.
