MINDFUL MARCH | ENERGETIC HEALTH WITH KAY WILSON

Energetic Health
with Kay Wilson

P.E Nation : we are a Conscious Nation

Hello, I’m Kay Wilson, I’m an intuitive energy healer and empowerment coach, I specialize in coaching women to be the most empowered version of themselves. I help them break through patterns of self-sabotage, limiting core beliefs and self doubt so they can rediscover the tools they were born with; unshakable self worth, peace of mind and an enthusiastic energy for life. Every day this week I’d like to share insights into this approach, with links to supportive material to help you on your journey to health, well-being and self belief. Today and tomorrow we‘ll focus on energy practices using your energy pathways and energy centers also known as Chakras, to get you familiar with your energy body, then we’ll explore ways to shift mindsets and beliefs.

Why you get energy blocks:
Firstly I wish to remind you that you’re a spirit having a human experience not a human having a “spiritual” experience! Your soul is the essence of you, it’s the magnificent doorway to your spirit that enables you to remember how powerful you are. It’s this part of you that drives the electrical current of energy around your body. This energy - also known in various cultures as chi/qi or prana, flows with ease when you feel supported and safe, but can become contracted, limited or stop altogether when you feel stressed or attacked. This is when fatigue, pain and illness can set in which is why working with your mindset and energy flow combined is so important, as one relies on the other.

Step 1 - Connecting Heaven and Earth
The first process I’d like to share with you is an ancient practice used centuries ago in Egypt and India. It stimulates your spleen energy line, which helps you manage stress and removes excess energy and toxicity from your system, while at the same time flushing your joints through with fresh oxygen.

Practice: Connecting with Heaven and Earth Energy
⦁Standing, rub your hands together and then shake them off
⦁Place your hands on the front of your thighs with your fingers spread
⦁Deeply inhale and bring your hands into a prayer position at your heart center then exhale
⦁Inhale again, separate your hands, reach one up above your head with palm open and send the other down toward the ground with your palm facing the earth. Looking upwards stay here for as long as feels comfortable
⦁Release your breath through your mouth and return hands to heart center
⦁Repeat this, swapping the arms into their opposite directions for 3-4 sets

Step 2 - Neurovascular stress release.
When we are under stress our body moves into fight or flight mode, which means that the frontal cortex of the brain is drained of blood as the body moves it into our muscles to enable us to move fast if we need to escape. This can hamper your ability to think clearly or self regulate under stress. The following practice helps you retrain your body to remain in a parasympathetic or relaxed state even if you feel anxious or ungrounded. You can use this practice to help you set yourself up for the day or manage a mental spiral. Simply think about what is bothering while you hold this position and the stress attached to it should lessen if not disappear altogether.

Practice: Use this technique as part of your morning routine or when you feel overwhelmed and/or highly emotional, it can also help you sleep if you suffer from insomnia and over thinking. I recommend you hold this posture for a minimum of 3 minutes.
⦁Lightly place your thumbs on your temples and allow your fingers to fall onto your forehead
⦁Breath deeply
⦁Stay here for three minutes then relax your hands and arms

Step 3 - The Cross Crawl & Shoulder Drag
Did you know your energy moves in a crossway pattern over your body? It does a series of figure 8’s through your energy centers, also known as Chakras. Often when we’re experiencing stress or not feeling well our energy has fallen out of this cross pattern and is instead making two lines down the sides of our body. To get it back into its natural and healthy pattern you can use the Cross Crawl technique.

Practice: Cross Crawl
⦁While standing, lift your right arm and left leg simultaneously and bring them toward each other
⦁As you put them down lift the opposite arm and leg and cross them towards each other
⦁Using this soft march you create momentum that enables your energy to move across your body the way it is meant to
⦁Repeat this six or ten times or as much as feels good, then relax
⦁Shoulder drag: To really lock this in you can also drag a hand from one shoulder straight across to the opposite hip and repeat on the other side
⦁Repeat both sides three or four time

Step 4 - Thymus Gland Thump
This is a powerful way to protect yourself if you’re feeling bombarded by negative energy, or if you’re feeling like you’re coming down with something. The Thymus supports your immune system so renergising it through stimulation can help you fight off a cold and help energise you

Practice:
⦁ As if you are Tarzan thumping your chest, draw a line from where your collar bones meet down two inches and gently thump with an enclosed fist
